Site Description:  Large, ten foot iron anchor with abundant associated marine biology.

Location:  Molasses Reef, Upper Keys Region, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.

Depth:  Bottom depth 25 feet.

Visibility:  Average 50+ feet, with maximum of 100 feet.

Marine Life:  Anchor ring and shank both present unique coral species, but deterioration has become more noticeable over the years.  Many small schooling fish are often attracted to the large coral heads and barrel sponges present.  The site is near deeper portions of Molasses reef, so larger marine life can sometimes be spotted. 

Diver Level: Novice.

Comments: Currents may be moderate due to location on Molasses Reef, but shallow depth and easy access results in minimal hazards.
